I thought I would've caught up on the concerts I went to by now. Obviously, I haven't, so here's another seasonal recap!

Drake & 21 Savage @ Scotiabank Arena
This concert was so last minute, we missed Central Cee. I had already seen Drake in concert at the Young Money Reunion a few summers ago, but with the news of 21 Savage becoming a lawful U.S. citizen, I KNEW I had to be there for his Canadian debut. After an embarrassing amount of begging and crying, my mom tickets for Dash and me. Just to reiterate, I was NOT there for Drake (maybe Dash was, but that's irrelevant). I don't think Drake is that good of a performer, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to see 21 live. I know he didn't come out on night one, so I was praying that somehow he would be able to make it across the border for night two. I don't really care about J. Cole either, so I was overjoyed to later find out his performance was a fakeout. I'm pretty sure I started crying when that British guy announced that 21 was in the building. Not to mention the scream I screamed when he looked at me OMG.
It was a late night, but it was SO worth it. I don't think I'll be seeing Drake again, but when 21 Savage eventually comes to Scotiabank Arena (I don't like Budweiser Stage), I'll be there!
Kesha @ History
Going to the Kesha concert is SO on brand for Sayak and me. I hadn't listened to the album when I bought them, but. I just knew we were gonna cook it up! I listened to the album non-stop leading up to the concert in preparation.
I wasn't sure what to expect audience-wise, but Toronto Kesha stans are WEIRD. OMG. There was this one person who came with their aunt, and when I confronted them about shoving people to get closer, they almost broke into tears. They said they were such a big fan and have been waiting their whole lives to see Kesha perform. Well, if they were such a big fan wouldn't they have lined up earlier like the rest of us? Mind you this individual was grown and had their aunt step in to tell me off as well. Anyways, I let it go because they weren't blocking me, but just know if they tried it, it would NOT end well for them.
The opener was.... an opener! I had no clue who Jake Wesley Rogers was (I still don't TBH) but as soon as he came on stage, I knew it was going to be a long set. I encourage you to watch the vlog for our live reactions LOL.
Kesha was AMAZING. All of her looks were fantastic and somehow she sounded even better. I was happy with the setlist! She did all the hits and my faves off of the album. If you ever have the chance to go see her (or see her again) GET THE TICKETS. My only complaint is that the socks didn't make it over the border. More artists should include socks in their merch options!!

Tobi Lou @ The Pheonix Concert Theatre
One of my good friends in middle school put me on to Tobi years ago, and when we had the chance to see him, her mom didn't let her go. I didn't think it was right to see him without her, so I decided to wait until the next time he was back in the city. Little did I know it would take him six years to come back. So, when I saw the tour announcement, I knew I had to be there. I got my tickets with no hesitation.
I secured meet-and-greet tickets, so I got to meet Tobi before the show. He was LOVELY!!! Because there were so few of us, we actually had time to have a conversation. He also signed my poster and my vinyl cover. While doing so, he asked which songs I was most excited to hear. I said three titles before we got to one he was actually playing. I definitely should've studied the setlist, but I'll get to that later.
groupthearapy. was a FANTASTIC opener. I had gotten into their music right before they announced they would be supporting Tobi, so I was beyond ecstatic to see them. Obviously, I had no idea it would be the first and last time I would see all three of them perform together.
Tobi was such a great performer. I was engaged from start to finish (literally. Before his set, he kept us entertained with unreleased music videos.) The setlist was.... a setlist, but I had fun regardless! Tobi said he was planning on touring Live On Ice which literally got me through the pandemic so of course I will be there if he does. Oh and to the guy who bought my merch, thank you so much!! That was literally the nicest thing ever.
