I can't believe another Netflix series I actually care about has come to an end. I'm glad they stopped now because season five would've been a disaster. The main girls (no shade Asa) are booked and busy, and the ones that are not currently will be imminently.
I wasn't sure what to expect this season, but I enjoyed it. The writers wrapped up the series well. For once the ending felt conclusive, but still left a little bit up to audience interpretation. The new characters were good additions for the most part. My favourite storyline was Eric gaining community. Otis is a bad friend, and I'm glad Eric finally realized his worth. What an excellent display of boundary setting. Also, the conflict with religion and the church community was a much-needed plot point.
Other plot points I loved:
The sit-in
Viv and Jackson's friendship
Anytime Ruby was on the screen
I was going to do a character ranking, but I gave up. I know Eric is my favourite character and O (a loser), Joanna (a victim but also a loser), and Otis (a selfish, self-sabotaging, projecting loser) are in my bottom three. But, I just don't know where to put everyone else. (Obviously, #that man is the worst one, but I feel like he didn't have enough screen time to be considered in the ranking.)
