I saw Sabrina during the first leg of her Emails I Can't Send tour back in October, and I didn't think it could get any better than that show. I was wrong.
Pre Meridian Hall
My friend Sayak came to meet me so we could head down to the venue together. Of course, we had to stop for Starbs before we made our way. He had two other friends going to the concert with us so we planned to meet them there.
OTW to Meridian Hall
Everything was going pretty well, which meant something had to go wrong. There was a massive subway delay which eventually led to the train being out of service at Union Station. Sayak and I ended up having to Uber the rest of the way to the venue which had us arriving a little later than we wanted. Luckily, one of Sayak's friends had already gotten a spot in line.
@ Meridian Hall
The line was insanely long and we were nowhere near the front which stressed me out a little. Even though I didn't think I would care as much about our spot in the venue because I had just seen her in October, I definitely did. Side note: every single person looked AMAZING like woah.
Sayak's friends Heather and Naomi were good company, so at least the wait to get inside wasn't too bad. I saw everyone taking photos in front of the CN Tower so of course I wanted some too. Unfortunately, they didn't turn out so great LOL.
I had never been to Meridian Hall for a concert so I was unprepared for the sprint of my life to secure seats. I think we ended up in a pretty good spot.
Post Meridian Hall
Even though the balloons and confetti had already fallen, I was CONVINCED she was going to come back on stage and sing "Lonesome" or even "Thumbs" (that's how delusional I was). On our way out, we saw that Blu DeTiger was taking pictures with fans so obviously we lined up to get some.
I had been debating merch all night, but after meeting Blu DeTiger, I decided to splurge on her shorts. There had been a miscommunication with a security guard (he yelled at me because he thought I was skipping the line) which kind of put a damper on the night, but I tried not to let it spoil it too much.
I had wanted to stay and potentially meet Sabrina outside of the venue but after that incident, I didn't feel like staying much longer.

Special thank you to Sayak for fighting for his life to get tickets to this show because securing them was nothing short of a miracle. I know Sabrina won't be back in Toronto for a while, but I can't wait to see her perform again!
I briefly stalked Blu DeTiger's IG before the concert, but I had no idea that she was one of the coolest people ever. I didn't see any videos of her singing so I thought she only played guitar, but miss girl has VOCALS. I think it's safe to say that there will be a "Blu DeTiger is REAL" in the near future (hopefully).
In between sets, I caught up on some reading and met Spencer Barbosa which was really cool. I didn't recognize her at first, so shout out Heather for spotting her!
Sabrina's set was AMAZING. She switched it up a bit from the first leg of her tour, but even if she didn't, I would've eaten it up anyways. We already know Miss Carpenter is a fashion icon so obviously, she looked just as good as she sounded.
There was someone in the audience in a Santa suit with a sign asking her to sing "Nonsense Christmas" and I really thought we were going to get it. She intro'd the song with "It's the holiday remix" but then was like 'sike' and performed the original track. I'm still deciding which leg I liked more but I know the "Nonsense," outro was better the first time ("Put your hands up if you've been to Drake's house / Leave your hands up if you want to make out" was TOO iconic). However, I loved getting to hear the deluxe tracks ("Feather," was amazing but #justice for "Lonesome"). She also teased the possibility of playing "Thumbs" but even if it got more votes I should've known she would've skipped it anyways. She just loves to play in our faces!
Also, shout out to whoever had the therapy session with Sabrina because the story about that guy was CRAZY. I was thoroughly entertained during that segment and it sounded like everyone else in the audience was too.
OTW Home
Sayak subwayed back with me and then Ubered the rest of the way. We stopped at Midnight Cookie before he left because he had never been there before and they have the best cookies ever (seriously, everyone needs to go to Midnight Cookie).
