Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - 4/5 🪩
Sayak had been wanting me to read this book for years, so I finally picked it up. It was supposed to be a buddy read, but by now you should know how that went.
As I said on Goodreads, this book is LONG. (Rainbow Rowell does address this in the foreword but I read that last because she said to). However, I didn't really mind. This book felt like fuzzy socks and a blanket on a cold day which makes it the perfect fall read.
The characters were really well developed. I mean I didn't really like Cath in the beginning, but I gained an affinity for her as her personality revealed itself. She's honestly so me-coded it's scary.
I thought the whole interrupting-a-situationship aspect was interesting! I'm still not sure how I feel about Levi, but I'm not mad about it. However, the Simon Snow excerpts were a lot. I wish they were a bit more chronological because I was confused.

Open Book by Jessica Simpson - 3.5/5 🪩
My mom has been raving about this memoir since it came out. I finally got around to it and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. It was a pretty good listen, but it felt a bit 'paint-by-numbers-ish' at times. Also, in hindsight, I probably should've waited longer after just reading The Woman in Me because I kept getting confused.
